Bally's Presents Ron
Jaworski's
ACME Celebrity Shoot-Out 2000
Purse $100,000
(L-R) Marshall Faulk, 1999's NFL Offensive Player-of-the-Year and Superbowl Champion, has a few laughs discussing his shot out of the sand trap with Joe Theismann, former All-Pro Quarterback for the Washington Redskins.
(L-R) Joe Pisarcik, former NFL Quarterback for the Giants and Eagles had to fill in for Sterling Sharpe who was unable to attend, has a few laughs with his Amateur Partner Walt Rubel and Jack Ham, former All-Pro Linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers and NFL Hall of Famer.
John Unitas, Football Hall of Famer / former NFL All-Pro Quarterback for the Baltimore Colts, was unable to play in the Celebrity Shoot-Out but was able to play in the Celebrity Pro-Am the next day.
Robin Roberts, MLB Hall of Famer and former All-Star pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies, celebrates a good drive that will help his team stay alive in the Shoot-Out.
(L-R) Defending Champions Amateur John Grace and Mike Quick, former All-Pro Receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles, watch to see if Marshall Faulk can sink his putt and avoid elimination from the competition.
Garo Yepremian has a difficult shot to try and keep his team from being eliminated. The Atlantic City skyline in the background may look good but things weren't so good for Garo's team. They would be eliminated on this hole.
AND THEN THERE WERE THREE !!
Three out of the ten celebrities participating in the Shoot-Out were Quarterbacks. Now only the Quarterbacks remained
All three Quarterbacks would make their par putts to keep their teams alive but one team would be eliminated in the Chip-Off
It would be Ron's Team
Joe Theismann's drive on the final hole of competition would leave his Amateur Partner Carl Jablonski, President of ACME, with a difficult second shot.
Both teams would recover from difficult shots to only be tied after regulation forcing a Chip-Off to determine the winner of the Ron Jaworski's Celebrity Shoot-Out 2000
Joe Theismann's chip would hit the pin and come to rest three feet from the cup.
Now it was Joe Pisarcik's turn. It must be destiny. Joe got the call to fill in for Sterling Sharpe and play in the Shoot-Out the morning of the event. Now he and his Amateur Partner Walt Rubel, Director of Government and Commerce Affairs with ACME are the Champions of the Ron Jaworski's ACME Celebrity Shoot-Out 2000
